Charlotte Faye
Moore
Dec 20, 1959 — Jun 12, 2025
Charlotte Faye Moore, beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, was born on
December 20, 1959, in Dallas, Texas, to Esther Pearl Moore and the late James Edward Moore.
Rooted in grace and kindness, Charlotte was a vibrant and joyful spirit. She was known for her
infectious laugh, love of music, and the way she'd light up any room. She loved to dance,
enjoyed watching TV, and found peace in going to church. She was a longtime member of
People's Missionary Baptist Church, where she faithfully sat in her favorite section and found joy
in the music and the message.
She had a creative soul. She loved to draw and take pictures—a passion she passed on to her
son. But more than anything, she loved her mom, her family, and especially being a
grandmother.
Charlotte is survived by her son Kelon Moore and his wife Tyana; her grandchildren Kyana,
Kaley, and Kelyn Moore; her siblings Linda, Diann, Kenneth, and Keith; and a host of nieces,
nephews, extended family, and friends who loved her deeply.
Charlotte entered eternal rest on June 12, 2025. To know her was to be loved by her. She will
be missed beyond measure but remembered in every shoulder shimmy, every shared story, and
every act of loving compassion.
Shake it down, baby!
