Brenda Kay Pleasant was born February 2, 1959 in Dallas, TX to the parentage of Luther Gene Mitchell and Barbara Ann Crayton, which preceded her in death. She married the love of her life, Dennis Pleasant, on June 25, 2021.

She accepted Christ as her savior. One of her major accomplishments was 20 years of recovery as well as being a sponsor for others. To know her was to love her, and her love was unconditional.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory: husband, Dennis Pleasant of Dallas, TX; daughters, Shayla Phillips (Calvin) of Glenn Heights, TX, Tara Scott of Wilmer, TX, Terri Scott (LaQuan) of Balch Springs, TX; brothers, James Mitchell (Dona) of Dallas, TX, Adrian Mitchell (Cathy) of Arlington, TX, Michael Mitchell (Daphene) of Lancaster, TX, and Victor Mitchell, which preceded her in death; grandchildren, Dorissa Drummer, Calvin Phillips Jr., Christian Phillips, Cniya Phillips, Darieon Parker, Davion Parker, LaQuan Parker Jr., Heiress Parker, Makayla Dickerson, Maliyah Dickerson, Amya Scott; great-grandchildren, Chance Phillips, Chasidy Phillips; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends.
